Dog and Bone

Hello everyone!

Life has been turned upside down in the past couple of years and now, as we begin to move towards spring, we at the Project are bringing you some of the very latest in healing, recovery, and wellbeing.

We know you haven’t heard from us in some time and we’ve been busy preparing for this very moment to share with you useful tools and tips to support your innate potential.

We can start with something straight away: take a quick check of how you feel right now. How is your body feeling at this moment? Are your shoulders relaxed? Is your back tense? Are you feeling tension in any way? or maybe anxiety? Be open and curious about what is going on within you.

Many of the challenges our bodies face have their roots elsewhere, whether in our environment, life situations, thought processes, or relationships. If life feels good, generally our body will feel more so too. But when we are stressed, worried, depressed, or are dealing with any number of other challenges, our bodies take part in this and change our biochemistry, usually not for the best. We have thousands of years of adaptation to handle stress for brief periods, our bodies are not designed to handle it long term.

So let’s take a moment right now to help your body out.

Take a deep breath through your nose and fill up your lungs, your ribs, your stomach, and your abdomen. Hold this to the count of 4 and then let it slowly out through your mouth to the count of 6. Repeat this a few times.

Now check your body and notice any change. How do you feel now?

You can do this anytime and anywhere and is a quick tip to help your body shift into a more neutral, and natural, state.

Many of us have struggled, been isolated, faced weather, health, and livelihood challenges, and now the invasion last week by one country of another, and we have been making our way forward as best as possible.

What we have been through will have taken its toll and you are likely feeling the cumulative effects of this. Maybe you are worrying more than usual, quick to temper, having difficulty concentrating, low in patience, taking things personally, making assumptions that turn out to be inaccurate, dealing with addictions, saying and doing things you regret, shutting down, and withdrawing or having low energy.

These are natural responses, although not comfortable, for these unnatural times.

We are facing a choice now, do we merely continue with the same old same old, or do we envisage a different kind of future, one where we come together to alter our human trajectory to the better world that author Charles Eisenstein says ‘our hearts know is possible'?

Based on leading-edge research, our own growth work, and decades of practical experience, each week we will be bringing you ways to navigate from a place of confusion and difficulty to a place of greater freedom, empowerment, and well-being,

I hope you will come along with us, it’s free, and most importantly, it will be freeing!
